I love this stone. I use an #800 grit Naniwa P-308 to reshape the edge. My #2000 Blue Aoto sharpens the blade. Smoothest sharpening experience I ever felt on a stone. Produces a thick, creamy slurry hence the smoothness. Cuts really good. Leave an exceptional toothy edge.
Plenty of great #2000 stones out there. But this one is the best bang for your buck. Not just for sharpening experience, but for how well it sharpens and cuts too.
Get one. You won't be disappointed.
